Disabled Children (Family Support) Bill 2006

The Disabled Children (Family Support) Bill 2006 had its Second Reading debate on the 23rd February 2007 but failed to progress through Parliament. You can read about the debate on the Bill.

Government commitements in the debate were delivered in the Aiming High for Disabled Children Review, which confirmed £280 million for short breaks. In December 2007 a further £90 million capital funding for short breaks was announced in the Children's Plan.
