Following the fantastic amount of coverage of the Unicef report launched last week, End Child Poverty are presented with a great opportunity to take action and demonstrate that there is public support for greater investment in children and an end to child poverty. Every Disabled Child Matters are active members of the End Child Poverty campaign, calling for urgent Government action to address the fact that 55% of families with disabled children live in or on the margins of poverty.
Through the End Child Poverty website, you can send a letter to Stephen Timms, the Minister overseeing the Comprehensive Spending Review, to add your voice to the demand that the Government continues to invest in our children and commits enough money in the comprehensive spending review to keep their promise and halve child poverty by 2010.
End Child Poverty needs your help to ensure that this letter gets through - it is very quick to fill in, so please do it right away, and ask friends and colleagues to take part too.
