A survey on the needs of families with disabled young people at transition to adulthood has been launched by Contact a Family and the Family Fund.
Many parents and young people report that transition - the stage when they move from child to adult services - as the most challenging time for them. It is often when young people find they have fewer options, become more isolated and families experience a drop in levels of support.
This survey will be an important source of information, with a focus on families’ experience of planning for the process of transition.
We urge all our supporters with disabled young people aged 14+ to take part in this survey, which should take about 5 minutes to complete. The closing date is 31st May and all completed surveys will be entered into a prize draw, with the chance to win ‘Love2shop’ vouchers - which can be used at most high street stores.
