Membership Forum - call for nominations

Following approval of NCB's governance restructuring and new constitution at the AGM on 26 November 2009, NCB is now calling for nominations to the member vacancies on the Membership Forum.

The Forum represents an important opportunity for members to influence the way in which the organisation works and NCB is keen to encourage the greatest possible member participation  -  there are vacancies in all categories of NCB membership.

The Forum will function as an advisory body to NCB and to its Board of Trustees.  Its primary focus will be to strengthen member engagement with NCB, to provide a link between trustees and the wider membership and to advise the Board on policy development and strategic direction.  Forum members will have the right to self-nominate for the 5 Forum-nominated trustee vacancies as they arise each year. The Forum will choose its own chair and will appoint the chair and two further representatives of the Selection Committee which will be responsible for trustee selection.

The Forum will normally have two meetings a year, in addition to the AGM.  However, there will be an additional meeting in 2010, the induction for new representatives on Thursday 25 February

Please consider making a nomination, using the form below.  Forms should be returned to Company Secretary Denise Hollingbery, no later than 5 pm on Friday 15 January, at dhollingbery@ncb.org.uk
