Parliamentary Inquiry into childcare for disabled children

EDCM together with Contact A Family, the Family and Childcare Trust, and Working Families supported a Parliamentary Inquiry into childcare for disabled children launched by Robert Buckland MP and Pat Glass MP.

The Inquiry aimed to assess the extent to which disabled children and their families face barriers to childcare. It looked at: affordability; availability and inclusion; quality; access and information.

The Inquiry held three oral evidence sessions and put out a call for written evidence, which received 35 responses from organisations representing parents, providers and local authorities as well as almost 1200 responses from individual parent carers.
