The overall aim of the Voluntary Sector Support programme is to support voluntary and community organisations, charities and social enterprises that work with children, young people and families.

The programme has different strands that focus on different areas of support. Our funding streams are explained below.

1. Department of Health Strategic Partnership

The main focus of our work as a strategic partner to the DH is increasing and strengthening the link between Government and the voluntary sector to ensure that the sector is informed of Government policies and initiatives, and involved in their conception and delivery. This project is in its second year and forms the basis of our work aroung policy briefings, consultations, commissioning training and policy update events.

NCB has been commissioned by the Department for Education to increase the engagement of Children’s Trusts with black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) and faith children and young people’s organisations. This project is in its second year and we are working in partnership with regional organisations to deliver this work.
