By signing the PCT Charter, PCTs are committing to make health services for disabled children a priority. The Charter should be signed by the PCT Chair. Currently there are 82 PCTs signed up to the PCT Charter - and we need your help to build on this number! You can view whether your PCT has signed up here.

Contact your Primary Care Trust to find out what they are doing about the Primary Care Trust Charter. If your PCT has not yet signed up you can send them an email to encourage them to do so. If it has already signed up then find out if they have an implementation or delivery plan to put the Charter commitments into place.
The PCT Charter is framed around the elements of Standard 8 of the National Service Framework for Children (NSF), which deals specifically with support for disabled children and children with complex health needs. PCTs may find it helpful to download Standard 8 and its Audit Tool when considering delivery of the Charter.
