New book, 'Every Body's Business' is available now from KIDS: Final PIP Series book marks the end of a 10 year project

KIDS' latest publication, offers all play, leisure and childcare providers practical advice, activities, and ideas on how best to include disabled children aged under eight years old in a range of play settings. Included with the book is a free A2 poster entitled 'Including all of Us.'

'Everybody's Business' is the culmination of the Playwork Inclusion Project (PIP). It is intended as a dip-in resource book, drawing on the learnings of the project's past 10 years and providing examples of good practice. Areas covered include planning good inclusive play policies, training, finding funding for projects, consulting with children and young people and reframing challenging behaviour. Face Equality Resources

Changing Faces' new Face Equality Teaching Resources will allow secondary school teachers to promote positive attitudes and behaviours towards disfigurement with confidence.

IPSEA parent survey

The Government has issued a Green paper outlining proposed changes to the SEN system. IPSEA has created a survey of 17 questions that they feel need to be considered by parents and professionals in the world of SEN. The survey will take approx 20mins.

Mencap Special Educational Needs survey

If you are a parent or carer of a child or young person with a learning disability, Mencap wants to hear about your experiences of SEN support and how the proposed changes may affect your lives. Your answers will help Mencap tell the government how to improve support for children and young people with a learning disability as part of their response to the Green Paper on SEN and Disability.
