Disabled Children's Charters
EDCM wants meeting the needs of disabled children and their families to be a priority for every local area. To support Local Authorities (LAs) and Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) to commit to meeting their responsibilities towards disabled children, EDCM launched the Disabled Children's Charters in 2008.
EDCM subsequently launched the Disabled Children's Charter for Health and Wellbeing Boards in 2013, to ensure the new health system met the needs of disabled children and their families.

Short Breaks
Short breaks provide opportunities for disabled children and young people to spend time away from their primary carers. In 2006, parents told parliamentary hearings that 'the lack of short breaks was the biggest single cause of unhappiness with service provision'.
